Our story
Our “for teens, from teens” programming model has allowed Heart of Passion to connect teens living with cancer to each other to form an emotional support structure in an environment that only teens themselves could create. Simultaneously, our teen leaders personally experience the value and purpose of their work and compassion.
I named it “Red Carpet Day” because I wanted our guests to feel like the red carpet was rolled out for them every moment they were with us.
Our programs
Through our Red Carpet Day (RCD) retreats, we provide positive unique experiences for teens with cancer to anticipate, enjoy, and make memories to share: positive memories to help balance out the negative uniqueness that cancer brings to their everyday lives.

Heart of Passion is 100% volunteer-operated, 100% donor-driven and every dollar donated goes directly to our program operations.
From the minute a guest starts the trip until the minute their parents pick them up, HoP covers every meal, activity, hotel room, and surprise. Donations are tax deductible.
Ways to giveMentor teams of 3 to 5 young professionals challenge and support a cohort of 15 teen leaders while the leaders plan their summer Red Carpet Day retreat completely on their own.
Be an adult mentorThe Leadership Development Program is an intense year-long program for exceptionally motivated, passionate high school students. The leader cohort plans and fundraises for a summer Red Carpet Retreat for teens with cancer.
